The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has asserted that his political camp has adhered to the conditions outlined in the peace accord brokered by President Bola Tinubu amid the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State.
During a visit to the Oba of Ogbaland in the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government area of Rivers, His Royal Highness Eze Nnam Obi III, Wike emphasized his commitment to fostering peace in the state.
Wike stated, “We accepted whatever decision Mr. President has taken, and we have on our own part fulfilled every condition given by Mr. President because I told you I will not let you down.”
He further expressed gratitude to Tinubu for intervening in the crisis and showcasing a keen interest in promoting peace within the state.
Wike’s acknowledgment of compliance with the peace accord comes as a significant development in the efforts to resolve the political turmoil in Rivers State.
