In the wake of the impeachment of Philip Shaibu, Omobayo Marvellous Godwins has been officially sworn in as the new Deputy Governor of Edo State. The swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of Governor Godwin Obaseki and was administered by the Edo State Chief Judge.
Omobayo Marvellous Godwins, a 38-year-old politician hailing from Akoko-Edo Local Government in Edo North, assumed the deputy governorship position following his oath of office.
The appointment of Godwins comes amidst political developments in the state and is expected to bring continuity and stability to the state government’s leadership.
