Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has announced the nomination of six individuals for appointment as Commissioners, according to a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ebenezer Adeniyan, on Friday.
The governor expressed that the nominees are intended to play key roles in the day-to-day administration of the state government. The statement further conveyed that Governor Aiyedatiwa has officially submitted the names of the Commissioner-nominees to the State House of Assembly for the required screening and confirmation process.
It was noted in the statement that three of the newly nominated commissioners and two special advisers were among those relieved of their positions by the governor in the previous week. The nominees include Omowumi Isaac, ACCA, Olukayode A. Ajulo (SAN), Engr. Razaq Obe, Pastor Emmanuel Igbasan, Barrister Akinwumi Sowore, and Oseni Oyeniyi.
The development indicates a strategic move by the governor to strengthen and streamline the leadership team in the state government, with the nominees expected to bring their expertise and experience to various aspects of governance. The State House of Assembly will now undertake the screening and confirmation process for the nominated individuals.
