This appointment underscores the commitment of the government to addressing the pressing issues of refugees, migrants, and internally displaced persons in Nigeria.

The President’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale, conveyed this appointment in a statement issued on Thursday. President Tinubu believes that Aliyu Tijani Ahmed’s leadership will contribute to finding sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by these vulnerable groups.

Tinubu has also approved the appointment of Mrs. Delu Bulus Yakubu as the pioneer National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA). This appointment is pending confirmation by the Senate.

The National Social Investment Programmes Agency (NSIPA) (Establishment) Act, 2023, was recently signed into law on May 22, 2023. Mrs. Delu Bulus Yakubu brings a wealth of experience to this role, holding a Master’s degree in Agronomy from the State University of Bio-Technology in Kharkiv, Ukraine. She has accumulated over 15 years of experience in managing Social Investment Programmes.

These appointments align with President Tinubu’s commitment to realizing the “Renewed Hope” agenda of his administration.
