Peter Obi, one of the foremost presidential aspirants of the PDP has resigned from the party and subsequently withdrawn from the presidential race.
He said in a letter to this effect that he has to take this action because of the development of thongs in the party which will not allow him to actualize his aspiration to lead the nation.
