On Monday, President Bola Tinubu formally inaugurated Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack as the new Head of Service of the Federation in a ceremony held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, just prior to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting.
The swearing-in event was followed by a tribute to Dr. Folasade Esan, the outgoing Head of Service, who was celebrated for her distinguished service in the role.
In his address, President Tinubu praised Dr. Esan’s significant contributions and expressed confidence in Mrs. Walson-Jack’s ability to excel in her new position. He acknowledged the challenging task ahead, referring to it as stepping into “big shoes,” and wished her wisdom and guidance from above.
“Mrs. Walson-Jack, you are assuming a significant responsibility, and we trust that God will guide you, endow you with wisdom, and uphold your integrity as you lead the civil service,” Tinubu remarked.
The President also extended his gratitude to Dr. Esan for her exceptional leadership, highlighting her dedication and loyalty throughout her tenure. As Dr. Esan concludes her service, President Tinubu conveyed his deep appreciation for her unwavering commitment to the nation and the civil service.
