The Kano State Hisbah Board has extended a mass wedding invitation to 50 journalists as part of its plan for the second batch of the program. The Commander General, Sheikh Aminu Daurawa, announced this while briefing newsmen on the upcoming mass wedding in the state.
Sheikh Aminu Daurawa stated that 50 slots have been allocated for journalists to have their loved ones participate if they desire. He explained, “Following the success of the last mass wedding, which saw about 1,800 couples married off, the board decided to extend the invitation to interested members of professional groups and trade unions.”
He further mentioned that the board would also include legal practitioners and health workers in the next batch of the exercise. Sheikh Daurawa emphasized that the essence of the mass wedding program was to entrench moral values in society and reduce immorality among young men and women.
The Kano State Hisbah Board’s initiative aims to promote marriage and family values within the community. It represents an effort to address social issues and strengthen moral standards.
