President Bola Tinubu is set to depart from Abuja to Lagos in anticipation of the upcoming Muslim festival of Eid-El-Fitr, which marks the end of the Ramadan month.
This announcement was made in a statement released by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, on Saturday in Abuja.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the festival is slated to take place either on Tuesday or Wednesday next week, depending on the sighting of the moon, which signals the beginning of the new Islamic month of Shawwal.
“In deference to the solemn occasion, which marks the end of Ramadan, the President will observe the moment in prayers for Nigeria and with family,” Ngelale stated.
Furthermore, the Presidential spokesman affirmed that Tinubu would continue to fulfill his official duties both during and after the Eid-el-Fitr holidays.
