The Nigerian Army has released the identities of the 16 officers and soldiers who tragically lost their lives in the Okuama community of Bomadi Local Government Area, Delta State.
Recall that Quicktell News had previously reported that a group of army personnel, comprising a Lieutenant Colonel, two Majors, one Captain, and 12 soldiers, fell victim to violence perpetrated by youths during a peacekeeping mission in the Okuoma community.
The fallen officers and soldiers were attached to the 63 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, with the Commanding Officer of the 181 Amphibious Battalion among them.
The Nigerian Army responded to a distress call following a communal clash between the Okuoma and Okoloba communities in the South-South state, retrieving the bodies of the fallen heroes.
In a solemn post on Monday evening, the Nigerian Army shared photos and names of the slain personnel, bidding them farewell with the words: “REST IN PEACE OUR FALLEN HEROES.”

These brave soldiers made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their nation.
