In a bid to alleviate the ongoing economic challenges faced by Nigerians, Bishop David Oyedepo, the Founder and General Overseer of Living Faith Church Worldwide (LFC), has unveiled a comprehensive relief distribution plan. The announcement was made during the “Covenant Day of Business Breakthrough Service” at the church’s headquarters in Canaan Land, Ogun State.
Addressing congregants, Bishop Oyedepo urged members of the ministry to contribute to the initiative, emphasizing the importance of supporting those in need during difficult times. He outlined the distribution plan, stating that food materials and other relief items would be distributed across 200 locations, with 40 primary centers serving as distribution hubs.
“The distribution begins upper Wednesday (27 March 2023), and everyone in need should move into any of those centers; it is not a weakness to ask for help; it’s wisdom,” Bishop Oyedepo announced.
He encouraged donations of non-perishable food items, specifying items like vegetables or tomatoes should be avoided to ensure longevity. Additionally, Bishop Oyedepo emphasized the importance of providing clothing for both children and adults, affirming that no one should go without basic necessities.
“We have also set up various accounts along the zonal fellowship centers where you can put your financial seed on Kingdom care matters,” Bishop Oyedepo stated, highlighting alternative ways for individuals to contribute financially if unable to donate physical items.
The revered cleric concluded his announcement with a reminder of the importance of generosity, quoting scripture and encouraging congregants to embrace giving as a source of joy rather than a burden.
As the nation grapples with economic challenges, Bishop Oyedepo’s initiative seeks to provide practical support to those in need, reflecting the church’s commitment to serving the community during times of hardship.
