Speculations surrounding the alleged collapse of Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, father of the late Access Bank Holdings CEO Herbert Wigwe, during his son’s funeral have been refuted by a close source.
Initial reports suggested that Pastor Shyngle Wigwe, in his 80s, had collapsed at the funeral service of his son, Herbert Wigwe, who tragically lost his life along with his wife and son in a helicopter crash in the US. The funeral service took place at Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
However, a credible police source, who spoke to Vanguard, dismissed these rumors, affirming that Pastor Wigwe was “hale and hearty.” The source urged the public to respect the family’s mourning process and refrain from spreading false information.
Furthermore, the source highlighted that even the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, had visited Pastor Wigwe to offer prayers and support.
“The story of Pa Wigwe’s collapse is totally false. We should allow the family to mourn its dead and not add to the pain by writing false stories,” the source emphasized.
In the midst of these rumors, the remains of Herbert Wigwe, his wife, and son have been laid to rest at a private cemetery within the Wigwe University premises in Isiokpo.
As the family continues to grieve the loss of their loved ones, the debunking of these false reports brings clarity and relief during this difficult time.
