President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is scheduled to depart from Abuja for Saudi Arabia, where he will participate in the Saudi-Africa and Arab-Africa summits in Riyadh. Last month, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Al-Jubeir, expressed his country’s anticipation of hosting President Tinubu.
Following a meeting with Tinubu at the State House in Abuja, Al-Jubeir stated, “We believe that our two countries can take the tremendous history that they have and use it to move our relationship to greater heights. This was the message, and we look forward to hosting the Saudi Arabia-Africa summit in the kingdom soon.”
Al-Jubeir emphasized that the summit will further elevate the Nigeria-Saudi relationship, noting their cooperation in various areas and their shared membership in OPEC. He also mentioned their collaboration on global challenges, such as climate change, sustainable development, counterterrorism efforts, and the promotion of free trade and investments.
