Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has commended the appointment of Daniel Bwala, a former aide to Atiku Abubakar, the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), as one of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s spokespersons.
On Thursday, Bwala was named Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications for the State House, a role that places him at the forefront of shaping the President’s public messaging and media engagement.
In a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bwala’s new position is expected to significantly contribute to the effective communication of President Tinubu’s policies and activities.Fani-Kayode took to X (formerly Twitter) to offer his congratulations to Bwala, expressing his confidence in his abilities to succeed in the new role. He wrote: “Congratulations to my dear brother @BwalaDaniel on your appointment as Special Adviser on Media and Public Communications to @officialABAT. I am certain you will excel and do a fantastic job. I’m incredibly proud of you. May God bless and guide you as you serve our nation”.
Meanwhile, Bwala, also via a post on X, expressed his deep appreciation to President Tinubu for the trust and confidence placed in him. He conveyed his honor and humility at being selected for the role and promised to deliver on his duties with dedication. “I am deeply grateful to Mr. President @officialABAT for the opportunity to serve. This appointment is a reflection of his trust in me, and I am truly humbled by the chance to contribute to our great nation under the leadership of a visionary Commander-in-Chief,” Bwala stated.
