The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) have extended their congratulations to Senator Monday Okpebholo following his victory in the Edo State governorship election.
This was confirmed by Imo State Governor and PGF Chairman, Hope Uzodimma, who described Okpebholo’s win as a clear testament to the trust the people of Edo have in the APC’s developmental agenda for the state.
In an official statement, Governor Uzodimma said, “On behalf of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC), and the Progressive Governors Forum, I wholeheartedly congratulate Senator Monday Okpebholo on his decisive victory as the Governor-elect of Edo State.”
He further acknowledged the people of Edo for their overwhelming support, noting that their decision to elect the APC’s candidate underscores their commitment to driving progress in the state.
“The people of Edo have demonstrated their belief in our vision by electing the APC to lead the state forward, ensuring a future of sustainable development,” Uzodimma remarked.
The PGF Chairman also expressed confidence in Okpebholo’s leadership, predicting that his administration will usher in a transformative era for Edo State.
“This triumph represents more than just a victory for our party,it’s a win for the entire state and the nation as we work towards a more progressive Nigeria,” he added.
Governor Uzodimma concluded by wishing Senator Okpebholo success in his role as governor, emphasizing his optimism that Okpebholo’s tenure will bring about significant advancements in Edo State.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officially declared Senator Monday Okpebholo of the APC the winner of the Edo governorship election, which took place on September 22.
The APC sees Okpebholo’s election as a pivotal moment, marking the beginning of a new phase of development and transformation for Edo State.
