Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has expressed confidence in his chances of securing victory in the 2027 gubernatorial election if he decides to seek a second term.
Speaking on Tuesday during a solidarity visit from representatives of the three Local Government Areas that make up the Kalabari Ethnic Nationality, Fubara acknowledged the overwhelming support for his administration.
“I am deeply grateful for the unwavering support from the people of Kalabari and Rivers State at large. While the prospect of a second term is encouraging, my focus remains on delivering meaningful development that will leave a lasting impact,” Fubara stated.
During the visit, the Kalabari delegation formally endorsed the governor for re-election, praising his leadership and commitment to infrastructural growth, particularly the ongoing ₦200 billion Trans-Kalabari road project.
“We recognize and appreciate Governor Fubara’s dedication to our people, and we strongly support his leadership beyond 2027,” a representative of the delegation affirmed.
Despite the strong backing, Fubara reiterated that his administration prioritizes governance over political ambition.
“My administration is not just about tenure extension. We are here to serve the people and ensure Rivers State experiences sustainable development,” he emphasized.
