#EndBadGovernance protesters converged on Thursday at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, complying with a court order restricting them from converging at the Eagle Square.
Arriving as early as 6 AM, the protesters sang solidarity songs, expressing their grievances about the economic hardship. The stadium was heavily guarded by security operatives.
The protest, declared by activists and groups in response to economic difficulties, is expected to last for 10 days. However, the demonstration faced opposition as anti-protesters arrived in buses, carrying placards with the inscription “NO PROTEST.”
