The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited’s recruitment portal has become inaccessible to many applicants just hours after the company announced new job openings on Friday morning.
Interested candidates have encountered difficulties processing their applications, leading to concerns among prospective applicants. In response, NNPC acknowledged the technical issues and attributed them to an unexpected surge in user activity.
In a message posted on its social media accounts, NNPC assured applicants that it is working diligently to resolve the website problems. The company emphasized that the application deadline of August 20 remains unchanged despite the technical setbacks.
The official statement read: “Due to unprecedented traffic to the NNPC Ltd. career page from applicants applying for vacancies, the site is currently experiencing slow load times. Our technicians are working diligently to rectify the problem as quickly as possible. Please be assured that the application process deadline remains August 20, 2024.”
NNPC also reassured applicants that the recruitment process will be transparent and merit-based, encouraging qualified Nigerians to seize this opportunity.
The company continues to monitor the situation and aims to restore full functionality to the recruitment portal as soon as possible.
