Josephina Ijeoma Otabor, popularly known as Phyna and winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, has voiced her grievances with Multichoice during an Instagram Live session. The reality TV star expressed her struggles with depression following the reunion and attributed it to the challenges she faced, particularly regarding her unfulfilled rewards.
Phyna asserted that she had yet to receive her prize money or other rewards, including the Bitcoin (BTC) prize valued at over N90 million and a forthcoming two-person trip. She emphasized the importance of these rewards to her, stating, “All I really want is my BTC. It’s worth over N90m. I can’t leave it. Also, the trip for 2 is very important.”
In her ongoing dispute with Big Brother Naija organizers and sponsors over the incomplete prize package, Phyna revealed her frustration with the situation, expressing a preference for the company of animals over humans. She specifically mentioned her disappointment with Unik Soap, a sponsor, for delivering their product without her team’s prior knowledge.
Phyna clarified that she was out of the country when Unik Soap made the delivery to her home, raising suspicions about the handling of the situation.
Taking to her social media platform, Phyna shared her frustration with her followers. She wrote, “Unik soap said they delivered… I kuku nor see anything. Now that I’m asking everybody, just dy look me……….. e con dy belike say something is fishy.”
In another post, she added, “I just found out something, really wished I had animals around me than humans. Dec 7th I wasn’t in Nigeria. I wasn’t told unik delivered…. Even when I got back, I didn’t see unik soap…Well soap nor be food or money. Afa the other brands.”
Phyna’s public outcry sheds light on the challenges faced by reality TV winners in receiving their promised rewards and the need for transparency and accountability in prize distribution processes.
