Nigerian skitmaker, Kevin Anagbogu, who is popularly recognized as Lord Lamba, has revealed the motive behind his decision to keep his daughter with Big Brother Naija star, Queen Mercy Atang, out of the public eye.
Lord Lamba recently introduced his daughter to social media after his baby mama announced her engagement to her longtime partner, David. However, the move sparked criticism from many Nigerians, accusing him of jealousy and attempting to disrupt Queen’s happiness.
In a statement shared on his official Instagram page on Monday, Lord Lamba explained that his primary reason for keeping his daughter off social media was to shield her from online trolls.
He emphasized his right as a father to protect his child and rebutted claims of being an absentee father by highlighting his active involvement in her life, including attending her birthday party and organizing play dates.
Lord Lamba stressed the importance of safeguarding his daughter’s privacy, especially in the context of both himself and her mother being public figures.
He stated, “Myself and her mom are public figures, but she is only a minor. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO DECIDE TO ALLOW MY CHILD GROW AND DECIDE IF SHE WANTS TO BE ON SOCIAL MEDIA OR NOT .. The fact I have seen children trolled and called names on social media probably because parents are public figures. Me spending time with my child in public (real life) makes more sense to me than social media. My child is not a click bait or my craft … I LOVE YOU KAILEH”
