Former Minister of Power and Steel, Olu Agunloye, has been remanded in Kuje Correctional Service following an order by the Federal High Court in Abuja on Wednesday.
The remand is connected to allegations of fraud in the Mambilla Power Project for which the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned Agunloye. During the court session, Agunloye pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against him.
The judge, however, ordered that the former minister be remanded until a decision on bail is made. The case revolves around accusations related to the Mambilla Power Project, and further legal proceedings are expected in the coming days.
