Nigeria’s First Lady, Remi Tinubu, paid a visit to the veteran actor Zack Orji, who is currently receiving medical attention at the National Hospital in Abuja. Mrs. Tinubu, who was originally at the hospital to celebrate the first baby of the year, extended her visit to the ailing actor.
Accompanying the First Lady were prominent figures including the wife of the Vice President, Hajia Nana Shettima; the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye; the wife of the Minister for Works, Rachael Umahi; and the wife of the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, among others.
While the details of the visit to the veteran actor were not fully disclosed, it was reported that Mrs. Tinubu spent approximately 13 minutes with Zack Orji. The purpose of her visit was to check on the actor’s well-being during his hospitalization.
The actor’s health has shown signs of improvement since his admission to the National Hospital, following his collapse in the bathroom. This positive development is attributed to the intervention of the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, who ensured that Zack Orji received the best medical attention available at the national hospital.
Confirming the actor’s current health status, Tayo Hastrup, the National Hospital Public Relations Officer (PRO), stated, “He has started talking. He is in stable condition. His wife is by his side. We really thank God for him.”
Zack Orji’s recent hospitalization had raised concerns among fans and the entertainment community. The visit from Nigeria’s First Lady and other dignitaries not only demonstrates their concern for the veteran actor’s health but also highlights the collaborative efforts to ensure he receives the necessary care and support during his recovery.
