The President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has relocated to the Defence Guest House in Maitama District, Abuja ahead of May 29 inauguration.
This was revealed by Director of Tinubu’s Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga in a video post on Twitter on Wednesday.
According to Onanuga, the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima and his superior will function at the Defence Guest House until he (Tinubu) is sworn-in as President on May 29, 2023.
“President-elect Bola Tinubu with VP-elect Kashim Shettima moves to Defence House, his official residence pre-inauguration 29 May,” he said.
The Defence House is the official residence reserved for Nigeria’s President-Elects since the country returned to democratic rule in 1999.
Tinubu, who has been away from the country, returned to Nigeria on Monday to a large reception by hundreds of his supporters and well-wishers across the country.
