The Department of State Service DSS has debunked claims of impregnating a teenage girl, Chiamaka Okoro (16) who was arrested and detained in their custody alongside some unknown gunmen on March 14 at Njaba Orlu Local Government Area in Imo State.
According to the Ultrasound scan reports conducted on her showed her last menstrual period was in January and her expected date of delivery would be in either the second or third week in the month of October 2022.
According to report: “it is clear from the confirmatory medical report done by a private hospital in Owerri that the girl’s expected date of delivery is on the October 15, 2022 which is an indication that she had taken in as early as January this year before she was arrested on March 14 ,2022”.
It was alleged that Chiamaka disclosed to the operatives to have been co-habiting with Ejim one of the gang leaders, who is now on the loose when the operatives raided their den.
It was stated that young girls were forced into the gang leaders den for immortal purposes and there was no escape route for them.
Dr Peter Afunanya the public relations officer of the department said ” we have been vindicated by the 2 medical reports. DSS as a disciplined and professional agency has its standard operational guide that cannot be flouted by going to sleep around with women” he said.
